When I heard his record, I knew he was.’ Mike Farris is a soul singer of the highest quality, and his soaring and motivational voice is perfect for this style of gospel music. Backed by one helluva great band as well as an added bonus on this live album of the excellent vocal group the McCrary Sisters, Mike will have you dancing around your house singing along to songs like Streets Of Galilee with a rousing horn section stirring your emotions up even more. Plus favourites such as the religiously impassioned Oh Mary Don’t You Weep and the classic Will The Circle Be Unbroken with Mike’s amazing voice hitting extraordinary heights all add to a fantastic musical experience. The amazing soul voice of Mike Farris is both stimulating and adrenaline charged, but to add the superb voices of the McCrary Sisters is just a joy, and the ladies are given centre stage on the a cappella number Dig A Little Deeper. Being the daughters the late Reverend Sam McCrary of the Fairfield Four, they performed one of their songs admirably. If any of you have been to Nashville you may have already caught Mike Farris in concert at the Station Inn, but if you haven’t then take a chance on this great soul/ gospel singer and be converted.
